Le biscuit a probablement vu le jour au Moyen \u00c2ge, lorsque des \u00e9pices telles que la cannelle, le clou de girofle, le gingembre et la noix de muscade sont devenues populaires en Europe. Ces \u00e9pices, venues d&rsquo;Extr\u00eame-Orient par les routes commerciales, sont devenues de plus en plus courantes dans la cuisine europ\u00e9enne. Aux Pays-Bas et en Belgique, le speculaas est souvent associ\u00e9 aux f\u00eates de fin d&rsquo;ann\u00e9e, en particulier autour de Sinterklaas (6 d\u00e9cembre) et de la p\u00e9riode de No\u00ebl.   <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"148\" data-end=\"165\">Ingr\u00e9dients :<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"529\">\n<li data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"192\">\n<p data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"192\">250 g de farine (farine de bl\u00e9)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"193\" data-end=\"224\">\n<p data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"224\">150 g de beurre froid, coup\u00e9 en d\u00e9s<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"225\" data-end=\"254\">\n<p data-start=\"227\" data-end=\"254\">100 g de sucre en poudre fonc\u00e9<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"255\" data-end=\"303\">\n<p data-start=\"257\" data-end=\"303\">1 \u0153uf (facultatif, pour une texture plus ferme)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"412\">\n<p data-start=\"306\" data-end=\"412\">2 cuill\u00e8res \u00e0 caf\u00e9 de sp\u00e9culoos (ou un m\u00e9lange de cannelle, de noix de muscade, de clous de girofle, de gingembre et de poivre blanc)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"413\" data-end=\"426\">\n<p data-start=\"415\" data-end=\"426\">Pinc\u00e9e de sel<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"481\">\n<p data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"481\">1 cuill\u00e8re \u00e0 soupe de lait (facultatif, pour une p\u00e2te plus lisse)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"529\">\n<p data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"529\">Eventuellement des amandes ou du sucre pour d\u00e9corer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"551\">Pr\u00e9paration :<\/h3>\n<ol data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"1634\">\n<li data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"688\">\n<p data-start=\"555\" data-end=\"688\"><strong data-start=\"555\" data-end=\"585\">M\u00e9langez les ingr\u00e9dients secs<\/strong>: Tamisez la farine et m\u00e9langez-la avec le speculaaskruiden, le sucre en poudre et une pinc\u00e9e de sel dans un grand bol.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"884\">\n<p data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"884\"><strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"717\">Ajouter<\/strong> le beurre : ajoutez les cubes de beurre froid au m\u00e9lange de farine. Utilisez vos doigts ou un p\u00e9trin pour incorporer le beurre \u00e0 la farine jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que le m\u00e9lange ressemble \u00e0 du sable grossier. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"886\" data-end=\"1115\">\n<p data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"1115\"><strong data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"906\">Pr\u00e9parer la p\u00e2te<\/strong>: ajouter l&rsquo;\u0153uf (si utilis\u00e9) et un peu de lait si la p\u00e2te est trop s\u00e8che. P\u00e9trissez bri\u00e8vement la p\u00e2te pour obtenir une boule coh\u00e9rente. Si la p\u00e2te est trop collante, vous pouvez la laisser reposer au r\u00e9frig\u00e9rateur pendant une demi-heure.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1229\">\n<p data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1229\"><strong data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1140\">Etalez la p\u00e2te<\/strong>: Saupoudrez le plan de travail d&rsquo;un peu de farine et \u00e9talez la p\u00e2te sur une \u00e9paisseur d&rsquo;environ 5 mm.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1386\">\n<p data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1386\"><strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1259\">D\u00e9coupez<\/strong> les sp\u00e9culoos : d\u00e9coupez les sp\u00e9culoos \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un emporte-pi\u00e8ce ou dans des figures traditionnelles de sp\u00e9culoos, telles que des moulins \u00e0 vent, des figures de Saint-Nicolas ou des c\u0153urs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1546\">\n<p data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1546\"><strong data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1411\">Cuire les sp\u00e9culoos<\/strong>: Pr\u00e9chauffez le four \u00e0 175\u00b0C. Placez les sp\u00e9culoos sur une plaque de cuisson recouverte de papier sulfuris\u00e9.
